Our Commitment to Donors

Connect-Vets sincerely appreciates the generosity of our donors. Your financial support enables us to provide essential assistance to Veterans, active-duty military personnel, and their families through programs that address food insecurity and other critical needs.

We are committed to handling every donation with transparency, integrity, and accountability.

General Policy

All donations made to Connect-Vets are considered voluntary charitable contributions and are generally non-refundable.

Because donated funds are used to support our mission and programs as quickly as possible, we are typically unable to return contributions once they have been processed.

Refund Requests

Although donations are generally non-refundable, Connect-Vets may consider refund requests in limited circumstances, including:

• A duplicate donation was made in error.
• An incorrect donation amount was entered due to an obvious mistake.
• An unauthorized transaction occurred involving your payment method.
• A technical error resulted in an unintended donation.

Refund requests are reviewed individually and are granted at the sole discretion of Connect-Vets.

Time frame for Refund Requests

If you believe a donation was made in error, please contact us as soon as possible.

Whenever possible, refund requests should be submitted within 30 days of the donation date.

Requests received after this period may not be eligible for consideration.

Information to Include

To help us process your request promptly, please include:

• Your full name
• Donation date
• Donation amount
• Email address used for the donation
• A brief explanation of the reason for the refund request
• Any available transaction or confirmation number

Additional information may be requested if necessary to verify the donation.

Approved Refunds

If a refund request is approved:

• Refunds will generally be issued using the original payment method whenever possible.
• Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution or payment processor.
• You will receive confirmation once the refund has been initiated.

Recurring Donations

If you participate in a recurring giving program, you may cancel future donations at any time.

Cancellation of future recurring donations does not automatically result in a refund of donations that have already been processed.

Donation Errors

If you notice an error on your donation receipt or confirmation, please notify us promptly so we can correct our records.

Tax Considerations

Donations made to Connect-Vets may be tax-deductible to the extent permitted by applicable law.

If a donation is refunded, the associated charitable contribution may no longer qualify for a tax deduction. Donors are encouraged to consult a qualified tax advisor regarding their individual circumstances.

Fraud Prevention

To protect both our donors and our organization, Connect-Vets reserves the right to request additional information before issuing a refund when fraud, unauthorized activity, or payment disputes are suspected.

Any revisions will be posted on this page with an updated Effective Date.
