Maj. John A. Klinner

He was the chief of squadron standardizations and evaluations at the 99th Air Refueling Squadron, which is stationed at the Sumpter Smith Joint National Guard Base. The squadron “functions administratively” under the 6th Air Refueling Wing at the MacDill Air Force Base, according to the MacDill Air Force Base. Klinner died on March 12, along with five other service members, after the U.S. aircraft they were on crashed in Iraq.
